Haere mai! He aha te mea nui o te ao. What is the most important thing in the world? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata. It is the people, it is the people, it is the people.
Welcome. My service is about improving people’s lives.
Offering a freelance writing and digital marketing service to people and business in Taupō. I also offer content writing and local search engine marketing .
Until September 2022 I was a journalist for NZME (the NZ Herald). Before that I was a search engine specialist for Traff1k Digital (now OmniHyper).
Pre-kids I worked for the Manawatu-Whanganui Regional Council (Horizons) in Taumarunui as a soil conservator, encouraging hill country farmers to plant trees beside streams and on erosion prone land. then I worked in London for Southwark Council as a pollution control officer, ultimately that work resulted in London’s car-free inner city policy. Upon return to New Zealand I worked in Auckland for surveying company Wood & Partners (now Woods) where I was the consultant planner in charge of obtaining earthworks/stormwater discharge resource consents and subdivision/land use consents. Some of the high profile subdivisions I worked on for Woods were at Long Bay, Okura, Stonefields, and Dannemora. Then I moved to Taupō where I worked as a town planner for Central Surveys (now McKenzie & Co), either doing one into two’s in town or 3 – 6 lot rural lifestyle blocks. In Taupō, I estimate I lodged subdivision applications for around 1000 new lots (rural and urban) over a five year period.
I grew up on a hill country farm out of Taumarunui, have a degree from Lincoln University, lived briefly in Ohakune and Auckland then worked overseas.
I have lived in Taupō since 2002, am married and have three children. We enjoy many outdoor activities the region has to offer plus I like to have at least one voluntary project on the go.
Inā koa
